Vital Life Communities

We invite any and all community types to borrow freely from both, this website and the Vital Nation website, to help enable their community to become a healthier and happier community, by pursuing first and foremost the wellness of your residents above all other initiatives, with the exception of security.

For those communities or organizations wishing to adopt the Vital Life Community Wellness Program, these websites are devoted to you, for your edification. For those communities that wish to become a "Certified Vital Life Community", there is a vigorous process of vetting, the details of which we will address later. For now their are two types of Vital Life Communities:

  1. Those who have become Certified
  2. Those who are in the Beta Program

Then of course there are those communities, which we will call "shadow communities" that are monitoring our operational communities, but for one reason or another cannot become either certified or beta, who are more than welcome to adopt any of our initiatives, exchange ideas with our operational community members, and exchange their best practices via the Vital Nation website http://www.vitalnation.org.

Community Information

We have many inquiries from those interested in becoming a "Vital Life Community" as to the process. Let's start with the "Certification Process".

To become certified either a member of the Board of Trustees, the CEO, Executive Director, or Wellness Director must contact us for written step by step information.

Let's be very clear: we are NOT marketing or selling anything on the Vital Nation or Vital Life Community website. As of this writing all enabling consulting is done without cost, other than expenses.

When a community becomes a certified Vital Life Community, there are no fees that accrue to the Vital Nation or the Vital Life Community Program in their community.

There is, however, an implicit agreement by the certified community to share online, both in our website and theirs, what they have learned while implementing the Vital Life Community Program in their community. This is a joint community service to others who wish to follow in their footsteps so as to become a better community, and possibly even a certified Vital Life Community.

A prospective community has to "invite" the Vital Nation to help them become certified.

The initial "vetting" process consists of a majority vote of the following inter-community groups in favor of becoming a Vital Life Community. They are:

  1. The Board of Trustees
  2. The CEO
  3. The Executive Committee
  4. The Residents

Why is this? People generally abhor well-meaning advocates that are forced on them and talk about culture change. Change frightens people and their known status quo. Pity the poor person who walks into a condition of dread and contempt, or an employee given the goal of making changes.

We have learned that only if all parties, are vested in beneficial stake-holding, can see clear benefits with clear affordable cost-benefits that will enhance their future well-being decisively, will they be open; in our case not to change, but to overlay additives to what they already do well.

With a unanimous desire by the community clearly documented, we will feel comfortable investing our time, and effort to help the community examine or achieve certification. Remember you don't have to be certified to emulate our program, just cannot call yourself a Vital Life Community, and market your community as such, using our brand.

Our brand must, in order to create added-value in the marketplace, represent unimpeachable results with the companion efficacy to sunstantiate the claims being, regarding the benefits accrued.

Once we decide to accept a community as a certification candidate, they will be given the prospectus and the steps; upon ratification by the Board of Trustees, the CEO and the Executive Council, and an application fee of one dollar, they will begin a journey which will last a minimum of one year as a Beta Candidate.
